How does Automatic Crash Response work?

Noonlight uses the sensors on your smartphone (Accelerometer, Gyroscope and GPS) to automatically detect when a car accident occurs. When an accident is detected, one of our dispatchers will immediately call to see if you’re okay, and if you’re unable to respond, we will send emergency services to your exact location.

Will it send help if I slam on the brakes or drop my phone?

No. Our technology is designed to detect the difference between a car collision and simply slamming on the brakes or dropping your phone. That means no false alarms, guaranteed.

Can I test if it works?

This technology has been rigorously tested in BMW's crash test facility, so that you don't have to (phew!). So, please don’t put yourself in harm’s way.

How do I enable Automatic Crash Response?

Go to My Connections in the app menu, tap on Crash Response, and slide to toggle "on".

Is Automatic Crash Response available on Android?

It will be soon! We are in the process of building out the functionality within the Android app, so stay tuned.
